We all appreciate being rewarded and recognised for our efforts, particularly when we go the extra mile. At Napp, in addition to our competitive pay and benefits packages, we have a number of ways in which we recognise our employees to motivate them and make them feel valued.

Managers are expected to recognise good work through the performance and development review process, and we link part of our annual bonus scheme to an individual's personal contribution throughout the year. People who perform well are often given the opportunity to take on more responsibility or more challenging projects in the future and, whilst this is not a formal reward, many individuals find these opportunities motivating. We also have a reward and recognition scheme through which anyone in the company can reward another individual for outstanding contributions. The form of the reward is up to the individual giving it, so they have scope to tailor it to their colleague's interests. Between January and October 2008, 500 rewards were made to individuals across the company.
